Real Estate Well Water Testing for Oregon Home Sales
Selling or buying a home with a well in Oregon? State law requires the seller to test the water — and a delayed or missed test can hold up your closing. We handle the required testing and the paperwork, on the timeline your transaction needs.

What Oregon Law Requires
Oregon's Domestic Well Testing Act requires the seller of a property with a domestic well to test the water for arsenic, nitrate, and total coliform bacteria before the sale, and to report the results to the buyer and to the Oregon Health Authority. It's the seller's responsibility, and it can't be skipped at closing.
FHA / VA Loan Testing
Government-backed loans usually add their own requirements — typically a well flow test and sometimes additional water-quality testing. We handle both the state-required tests and the lender's flow test in one visit.
